Chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Kemal Ademovic, yesterday received the ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to BiH, Mohammed Meraimi, on an inaugural visit.
At the meeting, friendly relations between the two countries were confirmed, and mutual readiness for their further improvement was expressed, especially in areas of common interest, as stated by the Office of the Chairman of the House of Peoples of the PABiH.
The interlocutors discussed possibilities for strengthening cooperation on political and economic levels. Special emphasis was placed on expanding trade exchange and encouraging investments in sectors such as energy, tourism, and agriculture.
Mutual agreement was expressed on intensifying contacts between the parliamentary friendship groups of BiH and Algeria, which would contribute to better mutual understanding and the exchange of experiences between the parliaments of the two countries.
Opinions were exchanged on current developments in the regions of the Western Balkans and North Africa, as well as on the importance of multilateral cooperation in facing global challenges.
Ambassador Meraimi confirmed Algeria’s commitment to deepening ties with BiH and expressed confidence that there is significant untapped potential for the development of cooperation in numerous areas.
