In accordance with the earlier announcements that the construction of memorial complex at Posestra in remembrance of the genocide in Srebrenica will gain real momentum in autumn, the ways and dynamics of its realization were discussed during the meeting.
As a reminder, the project was initiated by the Mufti Office of Gorazde, supported by the Government of Bosna-Podrinje Canton and Municipality Gorazde, and the idea of the representatives from veterans’ population to enrich the complex of the Memorial forest 8.372 with 2.000 more seedlings in remembrance of the killed veterans of Gorazde was accepted yesterday.
“I must admit, when I was proposing to start with the Memorial forest 8.372, somewhere stealthily I had the intention to provoke this reaction, and I am happy because our veterans and martyrs of Gorazde deserve to be remembered in adequate way. I am truly proud of all people who accepted this idea as theirs”, said on this occasion Remzija ef. Pitic, the Mufti of Gorazde.
The idea of the memorial complex at Posestra is full of symbolic, and thereby the place of founding the first military formation in the past aggression on B&H, the First Drina Strike Brigade, will be adequately marked.
