They also discussed distribution of public revenue which certain cantons in the Federation of BiH initiated.
”We also used the opportunity to point to the issue of distribution of public revenue and certain priorities when it comes to BPC and its local communities – primarily development of industrial zones and finding incentives for our businessmen. We find that number of residents is not the basic and only parameter, and we must be aware there are certain cantons that are not in a favorable position,” said Prime Minister Oković.
It was also emphasized there are positive trends in sense of import-export ratio, which requires that every canton has minimum funds to follow the constitutional jurisdictions.
High Representative Inzko said he was happy to visit a canton that was first to form a government in the Federation of BiH after general elections.
”This is a fantastic example how a small environment with a difficult past can be successful, especially because it is an area whose infrastructure is not best connected with big centers and it is recognized not only in the state, but in Europe as well. In that sense, it would be nice if there were other places like Goražde in BiH,” said Inzko.
During this visit, the High Representative met with representatives of businessmen from Goražde and management of the Cantonal Assembly, Government of BPC stated.
