Under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GAGP) scheme, the Government of Japan granted 45,823.00 EUR (89,622.00 KM) to the primary school for rehabilitation of old windows, doors and roof of a school building. The school building was constructed in 1963; however, it has never undergone large-scale renovation before this project and they were severely damaged. Direct beneficiaries of this project are about 700 pupils and 70 teachers and non-teaching staff of the school.
The Government of Japan attaches importance to the improvement of the primary educational environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina and has granted over 80 projects in the educational sector under the GAGP scheme since 1996.
