Through the PSIF scheme the JICA offers favorable financial arrangement and loans for the private sector. Within the PSIF scheme, the JICA offers support to Japanese private companies that work in developing countries through the provisions of loans and capital.
The PSIF scheme is aimed at achieving the following objectives: meeting the Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) and reducing poverty, development of infrastructure and stimulating economic growth, and mitigating the effects of global warming.
It is planned modern technology be applied to the construction of Blok 7 in TE Tuzla in order to meet strict EU standards in the area of environmental protection, announced today the Embassy of Japan to BiH.
The feasibility study will be prepared in accordance with the rules of the tender procedure for the selection of the best bid/project partners for joint investment in the Blok 7 project in the thermal plant Tuzla that was announced by JP Elektroprivreda BiH.
Two Japanese companies (Hitachi Ltd and a consortium led by Toshiba Corporation) were found on the list of the qualified candidates/applicants in the tender that are currently underway.
To initiate a feasibility study, the Japanese Ambassador to BiH Hideo Yamazaki said that environmental protection is one of the pillars of Japanese development assistance (ODA) in BIH.
“I hope that the advanced technology for environmental protection that Japanese companies could offer will contribute to the development of BiH and the future integration of the country into the EU’’, concluded Yamazaki.
