At today’s session, the Government of the Republika Srpska made a decision on emergency financial assistance for the municipality of Ljubinje, in order to normalize life in this local community as soon as possible after the recent earthquake.
The Public Relations Bureau of the Government of the Republika Srpska announced that the hotel in Ljubinje is temporarily given for use to the municipal administration of Ljubinje, considering that, due to the consequences of the earthquake, their facility is currently not safe for use.
The statement states that the decision was made to direct 50,000 BAM from the Solidarity Fund for the rehabilitation of the Health Center in Ljubinje, and to allocate 100,000 KM for the rehabilitation of the Primary School “Sveti Sava” and High School “Svetozar Corovic” in Ljubinje, and that 50,000 BAM per school.
In addition, with the aim of improving the financial position of pensioners, the Government of the Republika Srpska today passed the Decision on extraordinary harmonization of general points and pensions. According to the decision, the general point and pensions are extraordinarily adjusted and increased by 10%, from the May pension that is paid in June.
“For the extraordinary increase of pensions, the Government will provide an additional 8.14 million BAM per month, or 65.12 million BAM by the end of the year.”
The Government also passed a Decision on determining the amount of the lowest pension, also in order to improve the material position of the most endangered category of beneficiaries of pension and disability insurance rights, ie beneficiaries whose pension is lower than the lowest pension, so they are paid the lowest pension.
“The amounts of the lowest pension were determined by increasing the amounts of the lowest pension paid in April by 10 percent, ie by the same percentage for which the extraordinary adjustment was made. Payment of the lowest pension under this decision starts on May 1. The Government will provide additional funds in the amount of about 2,360,000 BAM per month, or about 18,880,000 BAM by the end of 2022 “, it is stated in the announcement.
The amount of the lowest pension from May 1 for pensionable service up to 15 years will be 242.55 BAM, for 15 to 20 years of pensionable service – 291.08 BAM, for 20 to 30 years of pensionable service – 339.60 BAM, for 30 to 40 years of pensionable service – 388.15 BAM, and for 40 and more years of pensionable service – 485.19 BAM.
