This year Hajji (a person who performed the pilgrimage of Hajj) Redzo takes 8 persons with him to Hajj: his wife Aisa, daughter Isma, sons Hajrudin, Muhamed, Dzemal, Ramiz and Semsudin and his wife Mahira. Earlier, his mother went to Hajj and then he went to Hajj in 2006 for the very first time. The second time he went for his father and this year he is going for his grandfather.
“When I was on Mount Arafat, I saw one person surrounded by his family. They sat there and performed Ibadah. At that very moment, I wished to have my family there with me. When a person experiences Hajj, his biggest wish is that his children also experience the same. When a person has an honest intention, then Allah helps him. I told them my wish that I want to be together with them on Hajj, which was hardly achievable by itself,” said Hajji Redzo.
“It is very strange to me that people are not wondering about those who have money and buy 50.000 BAM worth cars to their children, or spend them in some other way, but do not send themselves or their family to Hajj. This is normal to me,” explained Hajji Redzo, who wanted to surprise his children in this way.
“I promised myself that I will buy them a car after graduation, which is something that other parents think as well. However, instead of that, I told them that I will give them Hajj. I am giving them the other world, and they can get stuff for this world by themselves,” said Hajji Redzo.
Of course, according to his sons and daughters, father Redzo contributed to their lives much more than he is aware in financial stuff as well. Among his sons are a doctor, lawyer, engineer and militant, and two sons who graduated from medresa (Islamic high school). Also, his daughter graduated from medresa and now studies legal sciences.
Journalists were interested if he ever had dilemmas whether he will manage to accomplish his goal and gather the whole family on Hajj at once.
“It is important to have a goal in life. Then we subordinated everything else to that. My only fear was that I will die before accomplishing this. A man comes to age, so I was only working to achieve this. Otherwise, my only fear before was to die as a person who had funds but did not go to Hajj,” concluded Hajji Redzo.
