Federal Minister of Labor and Social Policy Adnan Delić attended today the opening ceremony of the international fair “Halal Expo Sarajevo 2025”, which is being held in Sarajevo’s Skenderija for the next three days, with the participation of exhibitors, investors and experts from more than 20 countries.

In his address to the attendees, Minister Delić emphasized the importance of inclusiveness in society and the business environment, and particularly highlighted the role of the Fund for Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities, which is participating in this fair.

“We often talk about persons with disabilities, but rarely take concrete steps. That is why I sincerely thank the organizers for enabling institutions such as the Fund for Professional Rehabilitation and the Drin Institution to present their work at this fair. It is especially important to me that right here, among responsible companies and dedicated people, we send the message that a society of equals is our common obligation,” said Minister Delić.

He invited visitors to the fair to visit the Fund’s stand and learn about the possibilities of support for the employment of people with disabilities, with the message: “If after this fair a company decides to employ a person with a disability instead of paying a special contribution, that is already a big step towards a more just and inclusive society”.

The opening ceremony of the fair was also attended by numerous high-ranking officials and representatives of international institutions. Mohammed Sherbi spoke on behalf of the organizers, emphasizing the strategic position of Sarajevo as a meeting place between East and West. The Director of the Halal Quality Certification Agency, Dr. Damir Alihodžić, presented this year’s fair as part of the “Halal Week” in BiH.

During the fair, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends in the halal industry, establish business connections, and enjoy rich educational, cultural, and gastronomic content, the Office of the Federal Minister of Labor and Social Policy announced.

During three days, the Fair will host a large number of international, regional and domestic exhibitors who will present a wide range of halal products and services.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and innovations in halal food and drink, cosmetics, health care and tourism.

A special emphasis of this year’s fair is building business connections and partnerships, with a focus on the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

In addition to business opportunities and the presentation of new products, the organizers of the Fair have prepared a variety of contents for all visitors.
