A member of the political bureau of the Palestinian movement Hamas, Khalil Al-Hayya, said that the leader of that movement, Yahya Sinwar, lost his life in an Israeli attack.
Al-Hayya released a video message announcing that Sinwar had been killed in an Israeli strike in Gaza.
He emphasized that Sinwar performed without fear and that he fought on the front lines and moved between combat positions.
“The struggle will continue until a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital is established in all Palestinian territories,” Al-Hayya said.
Al-Hayya also said that the Israeli hostages will not be released until hostilities cease, Israeli forces are fully withdrawn from Gaza and Palestinian prisoners are freed.
