Hamas released six hostages from the Gaza Strip, in Nuseirat, Rafah and Gaza City, in exchange for 602 Palestinians held by Israel in its prisons.
As in previous exchanges, Hamas members paraded the hostages on stages in front of large banners honoring slain Hamas fighters before handing them over to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
This is the seventh exchange of hostages and prisoners since the ceasefire began. Hamas says it is ready to move on to the second phase of the agreement – a comprehensive exchange of hostages and prisoners, in order to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire and complete the withdrawal of Israeli forces.
