Hamas says Netanyahu adds new demands to prevent swap deal

Hamas Political Bureau member Izzat al-Rishq said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s attempts to add new demands were an attempt to block the prisoner exchange agreement.

“Netanyahu’s insane efforts to add new topics and demands that were not included in any of the proposals previously presented to the mediators confirm that he is still stalling and looking for something to block the deal,” Al-Rishq said on Telegram.

In a speech at a graduation ceremony for Israeli army students, Netanyahu said he would continue attacks on the Gaza Strip until they “achieve all their goals.”

Netanyahu claimed that Hamas was pushing for demands that, he said, would threaten Israel.

Israel’s prime minister said there were four conditions for the exchange of prisoners, one of which was the continuation of Israel’s occupation of Egypt’s border with the Gaza Strip, known as the “Philadelphia Corridor.”, Anadolu Agency writes.
