harisalagicHaris Alagić, originally from BiH, won the final at the Dutch X Factor on Saturday night. X Factor is one of the most well-known musical talent competitions in the world.

This 18 year old, whose parents were forced to leave Prijedor in 1992, settled in Eindhoven. From the beginning of the competition, Haris became recognized for his beautiful voice and his demeanor. The show was broadcast on Dutch Channel RLT 4.

He won over the jury, as well as rapper Ali B, who rose from his chair during the final and publicly thanked Haris’s parents.

As Haris said earlier, his grandfather had a huge influence on his music, since his grandfather sang him folk songs. Haris already began his musical career in the Netherlands, and he performed during the Day of Statehood of BiH in Eindhoven.

After Saturday’s victory, he received a contract to record an album and an automobile. He won with 64 percent of the votes.
