“We haven’t come to Brazil only to be seen, we want to go to the next round of the World Cup.”

We haven’t come to Brazil only for the people to see us. We have ambitions to proceed to the next round. I know this won’t be easy, but I am sure that this team hasn’t spoke it’s last words, said Safet Sušić, the selector of the football national team of B&H on the official FIFA press conference in Caluba before today’s game of the second round of Group F of the Mundial against Nigeria.

Although, he warned that the B&H team is currently in the worst situation of all the teams in its group.

“If we lose against Nigeria we can leave for home. The others have some theoretical chance even after the second round. Everybody knows the significance of the match for us and we will do everything to win. A single point would be good, but we will strive to win. Let’s say, even with two tie results of 0:0 against Nigeria and Iran we could achieve the second round, but we are not anticipating that outcome. So, we will try to win against Nigeria, said Sušić.

The selector of B&H is in a dilemma because all the players trained at Caluba and can apply for the team. He did not want to say will the match with Nigeria begin with two strikers, Edin Džeko and Vedad Ibišević.

“I still have some dilemmas with which team to send to the field. Will Ibišević play from the beginning, I still can’t say. Sejad Salihović trained with the crew, but I don’t think he will play against Nigeria from minute one, i.e. that his help will be essential. We are saving him for the third game, the one in Salvador against Iran, and the fourth if it happens”, said Sušić.
