One of the topics of discussion was Euro Atlantic integration and the duties and tasks of the institutions of B&H on its path. In this regard, Čović said that without constitutional reform it is not realistic to expect serious progress on neither this plan nor a normal functioning of B&H.
‘’It is necessary to look for joint solutions, which will be based on the principle of absolute equality of the constituent peoples and citizens. This is the right direction for getting the normal constitutional framework for building a politically stable and safe country, to make it interesting for foreign investors and to provide opportunities to address the many accumulated economic and social problems’’, said Čović.
Ambassador Pandur said that his country would lend B&H support on its path towards the EU.
‘’It is important to implement reforms in B&H that are necessary on its path towards the EU’’, said the Hungarian Ambassador, and added how he hopes that B&H would soon fulfill the obligations from the judgment at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg in the “Sejdić-Finci” case.
At the end of the discussion, it was concluded that it is necessary to work on further strengthening economic and other forms of cooperation between the two countries, for which there is mutual interest, announced HDZ B&H.
