Heavy rainfall in the previous two days caused flooding in almost all cities and municipalities of the Una-Sana Canton (USC), and the worst situation is in Bihać and Sanski Most. Several urban and suburban settlements in Bihać were flooded, while some settlements are without drinking water supply.
It was also announced that starting tomorrow there will be city commissions to assess the damage in all flooded settlements.
The water level of the Una River in the center of the city reached a level of 165 centimeters, and yesterday the critical point of one meter was crossed. The Meteo station in Bihać confirmed that in the past two days more than 100 liters per square meter of precipitation was recorded, which is almost the average measured amount of precipitation in this city.
A state of natural disaster has already been declared in Sanski Most.
Citizens of Cazin, Bosanski Petrovac and Bosanska Krupa also have problems with flooding, Fena news agency reports.
