At the session of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJSC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will be held on June 14 and 15, among other things, an opinion will be given on the Draft Law on Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republika Srpska, the HJSC announced.
On the agenda of the first day of the session is the schedule of sessions of the Supreme Court of Justice for the period from July to December this year, as well as certain appeals against the decisions of the Office of the Disciplinary Prosecutor.
On the agenda of the session is the review of the report on the work of the Center for the Education of Judges and Public Prosecutors in the Republika Srpska for the past year.
A recommendation based on an independent report should be presented to the members of the Supreme Court of Justice for the strengthening of the regulatory role of the Supreme Court of Justice in efficient and high-quality resolution of cases of organized crime and corruption.
As announced, the meeting will also discuss the evaluation of the work of the holders of judicial positions whose work is evaluated by the HJSC for 2022, and it is about resolving the complaints of the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the resolution of the complaints of the former president of the Supreme Court of Republika Srpska.
On the second day of the regular session of the HJSC, it is planned to appoint judges and prosecutors in the Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the appointment of the chief prosecutor of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the RS.
Data on work on war crimes cases should also be discussed at the session.
