High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH to hold Session Today

The two-day regular session of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPCBiH) begins today at the premises of the District Court in Trebinje.

On the first day of the session, the agenda includes the Presentation of the findings of the survey on perceptions and experiences with the judicial system of BiH for 2025 and the Draft Law on Amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Draft Medium-Term Work Plan of the HJPC for the period 2027-2029 will be discussed, and the agenda also includes the evaluation of the work of judicial function holders in courts and prosecutors’ offices for 2025 and Information on problems in the work of the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Information on utility cases in courts for 2025 will also be discussed.

During the second day of the HJPC session, the appointment of the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the President of the Basic Court of the District will also be discussed.

The appointment of the Commission for conducting interviews with candidates for the position of judge in the Constitutional Court of the Federation of BiH and the Constitutional Court of Republika Srpska is, among other things, on the agenda of the HJPC session.

The Analysis of the Processing of Cases Against Holders of Judicial Offices in Prosecutor’s Offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Proposal for Supplementing the List of Corruption Criminal Offences will be considered.
