The Historical Museum in B&H, as the institution which gathers, studies and presents the history and the cultural-historical heritage of Bosnia-Herzegovina, is making an exhibition about the First World War with the aim to lighten the opportunities and to show the life in B&H in this turbulent time.
“Our grandparents and great-grandparents lived in that time, do you know their fates and life stories? Can you take a look into the family albums, find the photographs, letters, and personal items or tell the family story. We call citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina to give their contribution in the gathering of documents regarding their family members, whether they were on the front or behind it, or if they were refugees, captured or combated for survival in the different states of Bosnia-Herzegovina”, was announced from the Historical Museum of B&H.
The exhibition about Bosnia-Herzegovina and the First World War, the Historical museum of B&H is realized in the cooperation with Imperial War Museums from London and as a partner of the British Council of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and in the framework of the Foundation “Sarajevo, the heart of Europe”. The opening is planned for 26th June 2014, after which they will guest in Tuzla and Zenica.
