The High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, met with the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Dragan Čović, with whom he discussed several topics.
The topics of the conversation were the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, EU integration and electoral technology.
“The discussion focused on the general political situation and the work of the Parliamentary Assembly, including legislative processes aimed at European integration, as well as the upcoming elections and the importance of timely implementation of electoral technology,” the OHR stated.
Incidentally, it is the SNSD and HDZ, led by Čović, that have been blocking the work of the House of Peoples for months, which has also stalled the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
“Maintaining the stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European path must be everyone’s priority. Strengthening the position of every citizen requires cooperation at all levels of government,” said High Representative Schmidt after the meeting.
Darijana Filipović was also present in Čović’s delegation, and Čović also made a statement on his X profile.
“Functional institutions, EU reforms and energy diversification are at the forefront of today’s meeting with the High Representative. State property remains a high priority. Constructive exchange of information on current events and equality of Croats, as we work on progress and development,” said Čović.
HR Schmidt, unlike Čović, did not list the equality of Croats as the focus of their discussion today, that is, he did not even mention that this topic was discussed.
