High Representative Christian Schmidt met with Austrian Foreign Minister Beata Meinl-Reisinger to discuss the political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a focus on Euro-Atlantic integration.
He thanked Austria for its strong support for BiH and the OHR, and called on BiH leaders to honour their commitments to both citizens and international partners. The EU and its member states have provided support to BiH.
“Now domestic political actors must prioritise reforms, strengthen the rule of law and fulfil their obligations on the path to EU accession,” Schmidt stressed.
He thanked Austria for supporting the young people of Bosnia and Herzegovina in finding their way in this European country.
