Hungary does not support either Ukraine or Russia in their conflict, but a peaceful solution, said Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán after a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
“I clearly told President Macron (Emanuel, op.a.) that Hungary is not working for Ukraine or Russia, but for peace. Hungary is not against this or that country, Hungary is against war,” said Orban.
He added that Macron supported Hungary’s plan to strengthen competitiveness in the next six months of its EU presidency, the MTI agency reported.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni supported Budapest’s plan.
