IGC Repeats Call to BiH Presidency to Dismiss Ambassador in Serbia

Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in Serbia, Aleksandar Vranjes, stated that the entity “Republika Srpska (RS) is ready to go all the way in defending its institutions, constitutional position, sovereignty, and rights of the Serbian constituent people, even if BiH falls apart into pieces. The Serbian people in RS will get the opportunity to declare themselves on October 25th at the referendum, whether they accept the decisions of the unelected Schmidt and the rulings of the unconstitutional court of BiH pronounced against the president of RS on the basis of which his mandate is being taken away from him.’ If we get the expected answer ‘no’, that is at the same time a compass to the Serbian political elite in which direction to go, all the way to the right to self-determination.”, the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada wrote in a press release.

Vranjes has long since renounced obedience to the state that appointed him. The ambassador speaks in his own name on the basis of the secessionist policy of the legally convicted, former president of the entity, RS Milorad Dodik. Representing the interests of the secessionist policy of the leadership of the entity RS, the ambassador has ceased to be a diplomat and has become a servile, reckless anti-BiH politician, because of which the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada (IGC) repeats the call to the Presidency of BiH to immediately dismiss him.

IGC also calls on the Presidency of BiH to initiate an urgent procedure for the dismissal of ambassadors and general consuls of BiH from the entity RS who a few days ago sent a letter to the address of the legally convicted former president of the entity RS Milorad Dodik, where it is stated that they, practically, will no longer respect the guidelines of the foreign policy of BiH, but exclusively “the decisions of the institutions of the entity RS.”

It is enough only for the Presidency of BiH to inform the host country that the ambassadors and general consuls, who publicly signed that document, have renounced obedience to the state that sent them there.

The country in which they are accredited is only interested in whether the ambassadors speak in their own name or in the name of the state. If they speak in their own name, and the signatories of the letter announce that it will be so, no one will consider them serious, and they will remain completely marginalized. And if by chance they are aggressive, they could very easily be expelled and get the status of persona non grata.

It is no longer possible to tolerate ambassadors working against their own state, which pays them well. The absence of dismissal can show that indiscipline and disrespect of one’s own state are profitable, that they are becoming more important in the eyes of those who sent them, but also of the anti-BiH coalition that supports them in lobbying against the state of BiH, IGC said in a press release.
