On the eve of Christmas, which the eastern churches celebrate on January 7, according to Julian calendar, the Serb Patriarch Irinej highlighted that good will among people must be a result of divine peace.
Irinej invited people to reconciliation with their God, warning that we are “witnesses of planetary expansion” of egoism, vanity, opposites and outwitting, calling such behavior “vices which evoke concern, fear and anxiety for the future of this world, instead of good will and love among people and peoples”.
“Let’s pray to the Divine Child Christ to bestow those who lead their peoples, as well as this entire world, with wisdom and kindness, love and peacefulness, in order to take this world out of the deepest moral and existential crisis,” the Serb Patriarch Irinej stated.
