In the Fan Riots in Mostar, Two Persons were seriously injured

In the clash between fans of FK Željezničar and FK Velež that took place on Sunday in Mostar, two people suffered serious injuries and two minor injuries, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton reported on Monday.

According to the police report, on Sunday at 1 p.m., the Mostar Police Department was informed that in Ul. of Marsala Tita in the Luka settlement, there was a large-scale disturbance of public order and peace, where a large group of fans of FK Željezničar “Manijaci” (about 100) and “Red Army” of FK Velež clashed.

All available police patrols immediately went to the scene and the situation was soon brought under control.

On that occasion, M.H. suffered serious injuries. (1999) and E.M. (1988) from Mostar, while D.K. was slightly injured. (2000) and S.S. (1984) also from Mostar, according to the MUP.

They also add that batons and other means used to disrupt public order and peace were found at the scene.

“Individual identification of the fan group ‘Maniacs’ was carried out and they were all handed over under police escort to the police officers of the Konjic Police Department in the village of Aleksin Han, who escorted them and handed them over to the police officers of the KS MUP,” the police report states.
