President of the entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), the Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik yesterday awarded Russian President Vladimir Putin with the Order of the RS for “patriotism and love for the RS”.
Milorad Dodik honored Russian President Vladimir Putin at the awards ceremony held yesterday in Banja Luka.
“Putin is responsible for developing and strengthening cooperation and political and friendly relations between RS and Russia. He has merits in the field of public activities that contribute to overall and mutual political, economic, social, and economic growth and development,” emphasized Dodik.
The order will be presented to him later, during the first meeting between Dodik and Putin.
It was also pointed out that Putin was awarded for his “especially patriotic care and love for the RS”.
To recall, Dodik is one of the few politicians who maintains ties with the president of the Russian Federation after his open aggression against Ukraine in February of last year.
According to Dodik’s claims, Putin and he regularly speak on the phone, and the last live meeting was in September of last year in the Kremlin, where the details of a friendly match between BiH and Russia were agreed upon, which, after great public pressure, was never held.
Despite the fact that Dodik is the Russian puppet, he and his party are still the political factor that controls most of the processes in BiH. As a rule, these actions of the leader of the SNSD regularly meet with lukewarm condemnation from the representatives of the international community in BiH. Unfortunately, there are no concrete sanctions.
