Increase of Foreign Direct Investments in BiH

According to preliminary data from the Central Bank of BiH, foreign direct investment in 2021, with estimated retained earnings, amounts to 869,900,000 BAM, which is an increase of 22.1 percent compared to 2020 when it was recorded on the balance of payments 712,700,000 BAM .

As they said, it is important to point out the fact that in the last two years BiH has recorded an increase in investments, and thus an increase in the number of employees.

Also, the need for cooperation of institutions at different levels of government in BiH to improve the conditions for new investments should be emphasized, because they are in dire need of foreign investors due to the slow economic development of the country and the still high unemployment rate.

FIPA will continue to work on the promotion of the country and currently available investment projects, find new contacts, and organize economic gatherings with the aim of finding new foreign investors for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
