Members of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina (UIOBiH) confiscated 180 kilograms of tobacco, with a market value of about 27,000 BAM.
When controlling a motor vehicle near city of Zenica, 120 kilograms of finely cut tobacco were temporarily confiscated from two persons.
In another action, authorized ITA officers found and temporarily seized 60 kilograms of finely-cut tobacco from one person on a Konjic-Sarajevo road communication during a motor vehicle inspection, the UIOBiH said.
The seized goods, whose market value is estimated at around 27,000 BAM, were not properly marked with excise stamps issued by the ITA. It was announced that misdemeanor proceedings would be instituted against the persons found with the excise goods before the competent municipal courts.
