An intensive search has been ongoing since last night for 23-year-old French citizen Lola Mathelet, who disappeared under still unexplained circumstances in the mountainous area of Čvrsnica, the Association of Mountain Rescue Services in Bosnia and Herzegovina (SGSSUBIH) confirmed.
According to her father, she last called on April 30 from the Čvrsnica area, after which she disappeared without a trace.
Members of the GSS Jablanica, HGSS Station Posušje, as well as aerial search drones, are involved in the search operation, while the Association of Mountain Rescue Services in Bosnia and Herzegovina has also requested the engagement of EUFOR helicopters for additional support in inaccessible parts of the terrain.
The missing girl is 170 cm tall, weighs about 60 kilograms, and at the time of her disappearance she was wearing deep-leg leggings, shorts and an earth-colored short-sleeved T-shirt, and was carrying a large backpack. She set off from Jablanica alone towards the mountain on the morning of April 30.
GSS Jablanica and the police appeal to all citizens, hikers and hikers who are moving around the area of Mount Čvrsnica to pay attention to possible traces and information that could help in the search.
