The Banja Luka District Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened a case based on a report filed by Banja Luka lawyer Dario Sandic, submitted against an unknown person, over unlawfully enabling former president Milorad Dodik to use money from the Republika Srpska (RS) budget.
The Banja Luka District Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that the report was received on December 1st and that the “assigned prosecutor” is working on the case.
Lawyer Sandic suspects that Dodik is still using resources available to the president of RS, even though a final court verdict stripped him of that function and banned him from political activity.
As stated, Dodik has for months been behaving as if he is still the president of RS, using all privileges and resources such as official cars, police security, financial means, and continues to be presented to the public and in pro-government media as “president.”
The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CEC BiH) revoked Dodik’s mandate as president of the RS on August 6th, based on a final verdict of the Court of BiH, which sentenced him to one year in prison and six years of prohibition from political activity for failing to implement the decisions of the High Representative in BiH.
