Iran showcased its new ballistic missile and kamikaze drone during a military parade held in Tehran.
The military parade took place at the Mausoleum of Ruhollah Khomeini, the leader of the 1979 revolution, in the capital city of Tehran, marking the 44th anniversary of the start of the Iran-Iraq War, which is referred to in Iran as the “Sacred Defence Week.”
During the ceremony, attended by President Masoud Pezeshkian, 23 types of ballistic missiles and drones were displayed.
For the first time, Iran revealed its newly developed ballistic missile named “Jihad” with a range of 1.000 kilometers, as well as the kamikaze drone “Shahid-136 B,” which was designed for reconnaissance and assault operations.
Speaking at the parade, Pezeshkian asserted that no one would dare attempt an invasion due to Iran’s deterrence capabilities, stating: “Iran would not be safe today if these armed forces were not strong and capable.”
Addressing the challenges posed by Israeli aggression in the region, Pezeshkian emphasized: “If Islamic countries achieve unity, the Zionist regime (Israel) cannot commit these crimes.”, AA writes.
