Iran unveils new Ballistic Missile with a range of 1,700 Kilometers

A new medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) developed by Iran’s Defense Ministry was unveiled on Sunday.

The “E’temad” ballistic missile was unveiled during a visit by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to the Defense Ministry’s missile exhibition.

The 16-meter-long missile has a range of 1,700 kilometers. The E’temad is equipped with a precision-guided warhead.

Iran’s military experts and technicians have made significant progress in recent years in producing a wide range of domestic equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in weapons.

Iran claims that its military power poses no threat to countries in the region, saying the Islamic Republic’s defense doctrine is based entirely on deterrence.
