The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina shared a statement from the Irish Ministry, which states that this country will open its embassy in our country.
“Good news for our BiH. Another embassy will open its doors in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This time it’s Ireland. Welcome friends,” the ministry said.
Irish Foreign Minister Michael Martin said the Republic of Ireland would open five new missions under the Global Ireland programme, “further strengthening Ireland’s global presence and influence”.
The Government of the Republic of Ireland has approved a decision that includes the opening of new embassies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Moldova, and new consulates general in Malaga, Spain, and Melbourne, Australia.
Currently, the Embassy of Ireland in Ljubljana is in charge of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
