Is Cooperation with Lumiwings questionable?

The news about the cooperation of the Tuzla airport with the Greek airline company Lumiwings was received positively in the area of Tuzla Canton (TC). In addition to destinations in Germany, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands, a route to Turkey was also optimistically announced.

However, while waiting for the flight to Istanbul to be established, passengers are worried about the impossibility of booking any flight with Lumiwings from April 2024.

The flight can only be booked until the end of March, there is already nothing in April.

When asked why there are no flights in April, the director of Tuzla International Airport Dzevad Halilcevic says: “The winter flight schedule is currently displayed and it lasts until March 31st. Negotiations for the summer flight schedule are underway and we hope that everything will be agreed and announced soon.”

The summer flight schedule should be published as soon as possible, considering that travelers want to plan their annual vacations in time, and therefore book their flights. In this case, many were concerned that the cooperation with Lumiwings was terminated.

”The cooperation has not been interrupted, the negotiations for the summer are ongoing and we hope that everything will be agreed soon,” the airport director points out.

He was also asked whether the airline company Lumiwings sets certain conditions before establishing new flights and whether they are satisfied with the cooperation so far.

”Of course, every airline asks for a guarantee. We had to introduce some restrictions on flights for January and February because these months are mostly empty, and this is done every year,” explains the director, but he noted that they are satisfied with the flights and the number of passengers in December and that the number should increase in spring and summer.

Meanwhile, on the official Facebook page of Lumiwings, there is no sign of a break in cooperation. Three days ago, Lumiwings reminded passengers about flights from Tuzla, and on January 9th, they wrote that Tuzla is a “gem that needs to be discovered”, inviting all interested parties to visit this city.

To recall, Tuzla International Airport recorded 580,000 transported passengers in 2023, and cooperation with Lumiwings should increase that number in the coming period. Of course, all when the eagerly awaited summer flight schedule is established, Biznis Info reports.
