Federal Minister of Internal Affairs Ramo Isak responded to the statement made by the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Nenad Nesic, in an interview, where Nesic stated that “peaceful dissolution is possible” and that “BiH can be divided like Yugoslavia.”
“BiH is a sovereign and independent state that exists and will continue to exist within its current borders. No dissolution of BiH, especially not peacefully, is possible. The political system of BiH is not ideal, as best seen by the fact that Nenad Nesic, who advocates for the breakup of the state, holds the position of Minister of Security of BiH,” concluded Isak, continuing:
“Such statements, uttered by a man who receives a monthly salary from the budget of state institutions, are considered the lowest form of populism and pandering to a radical voting base that is still unaware that BiH is a permanent entity.”
The Federal Minister of Internal Affairs told the state Minister of Security that he is “a BiH citizen, ethnically: a member of the Serbian people,” that his capital city is Sarajevo, and that on his identity card in the field “citizenship,” it says “BiH”.
“These are facts. If you don’t like it, pack your bags and leave. I publicly challenge you to go ahead and initiate dissolution if you dare, or spare us all the nonsense that you pollute the public space with on a daily basis. Your statements about dissolution only show how your way of thinking is in complete dissolution with common sense,” Isak’s reaction states.
As a reminder, Minister of Security of BiH Nenad Nesic stated during his interview that “if there can’t be an agreement, then a peaceful separation is normal.”, N1 writes.
