Islamic Community In BiH On Dodik’s Statements: Clear Targeting Of Bosniaks

The Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has condemned the hate speech that, as they stated, is continuously used by the president of the BiH entity Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik.

“The latest such outburst by Dodik happened yesterday at an event that was supposed to be a dignified tribute to victims of different faiths and nationalities who were killed in the fascist camp of Jasenovac,” announced the Office for Public Relations of the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in BiH, and stated:

“The statement that ‘there is no difference between Hamas and Muslims in BiH‘ is hate speech and clear targeting of Bosniaks, who survived an attempted extermination and the crime of genocide by the same actors thirty years ago. Dodik’s statements are the best proof that genocidal policy continues. They clearly show to the entire world what kind of people and ‘values’ are in question and why, in the interest of peace and the future, it is necessary to stop the evil that threatens everyone in the Balkans.”

They reminded that just a few days ago, while evading the judiciary of BiH, Dodik also used the phrase “Muslim lair,” dehumanizing Muslims and comparing them to animals.

“The Islamic Community in BiH expects the competent state institutions to, in accordance with the applicable legislation, prosecute this clear hate speech and public incitement of national, racial, and religious hatred, discord, and intolerance. It is expected from political, religious, and academic representatives of the Serbian people in BiH and Serbia to distance themselves from such outbursts and to condemn them,” the announcement states.
