The head of the United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Filipe Lazarini, said today that Israel has informed the UN that it will no longer allow the passage of food convoys to northern Gaza.
Lazarini wrote on the “X” social network that Israel’s move “denies life-saving aid to northern Gaza.”
“This is outrageous. It is a deliberate obstruction of life-saving aid in the midst of a man-made famine. These restrictions must be lifted,” Lazarini stressed.
He warned that preventing UNRWA from fulfilling its mandate would lead to people in Gaza dying of hunger, dehydration and lack of safe shelter, Beta news agency writes.
