Dnevnik 2’s guest Hamza Višća, a military-political analyst, spoke about the situation in the Middle East.
Iran announced that their attack was over, but they threatened a bigger one if there was a response from Israel.
“Well, it is to be expected that it reacts reciprocally to what Iran did. Iran targeted their military infrastructure from which the F35 planes took off when they attacked the consulate in Damascus on April 1. Officially, Israel denied, that is, it did not even comment on whether participated in it. The majority in the region believe that Israel is behind that attack, in which 13 people were killed, including an important high-ranking officer of Iran,” Višća said.
According to him, all efforts are being made to prevent it from escalating into a conflict between America and Iran.
“I don’t believe that the US is ready to get involved for the simple reason that the war in Ukraine is still going on and America is trying to concentrate its resources and everything else to help Ukraine. It also helped Israel in what it is doing around Gaza,” he said.
After Biden’s message, Israel might drop any response.
“Well, I think he is close to giving up any answer for the simple reason that the question is whether he is able to form the coalition mentioned by their minister of foreign affairs who says we will form a regional coalition. I do not know with whom Israel will have a coalition in the region for any attack on Iran, especially before the Arab countries told the Americans that they cannot use the resources they have deployed on their territory for a possible attack on Iran,” said Hamza Višća, a military-political analyst.
An extraordinary session of the UN Security Council will be held tonight at Israel’s request, Federalna writes.
