“Israel killed Haniyeh to provoke War and Conflict,” Iranian FM says

Acting Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri said Israel made a strategic mistake by killing Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.

Speaking to AFP, Bagheri accused Israel of carrying out the assassination to incite tension, war and conflict in other countries.

He emphasized that this move will cost Israel dearly.
Iran’s supreme leader has vowed retaliation for Haniyeh’s killing, and Israel is also preparing for an attack by Tehran’s ally.

Meanwhile, Yahya Sinwar was elected as the new leader of Hamas, and Israel accuses him of organizing the attack on October 7 last year.
