Israeli forces launched air and artillery strikes on Rafah in southern Gaza, while Palestinian officials reported five deaths in northern Gaza following a series of bombings.
The attacks came a day after relentless bombings across the Gaza Strip killed at least 101 Palestinians.
It was the most violent day in the enclave since Israeli troops killed 274 people and freed four hostages in Nuseirat earlier this month.
At least 37,551 people have been killed and 85,911 wounded in Israel’s war against Gaza since October 7.
The revised death toll in Israel from the Hamas-led attacks stands at 1,139, with dozens of people still trapped in Gaza.
