Israeli Minister Ben-Gvir: Encourage Occupation and Migration in the Gaza Strip instead of an Agreement

Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said that instead of concluding a cease-fire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas, they should encourage the occupation of the Gaza Strip and migration.

In a statement to the Israeli newspaper “Maarif”, Ben-Gvir said that sitting at the table with Hamas was a big mistake and a disaster, and that the only way to return the Israeli hostages from Gaza was through the military.

He claims they have crushed Hamas and warns that it would be a very big mistake for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept a cease-fire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas.

“I am listening to the opinions of the officials in the cabinet, but also to the commanders on the ground. Are we now going to Cairo to strengthen Hamas? I have been saying for nine months that we should cut off supplies to Gaza. If Israel cuts off fuel and humanitarian aid, Hamas will surrender within two weeks ” said Ben-Gvir.

He said that he is convinced that Israel can win a complete victory over Hamas by occupying the Gaza Strip, encouraging voluntary migration and cutting off supplies to the Gaza Strip.
