Benny Gantz, a member of Israel’s war cabinet, said that “many” Hamas battalions had been “disbanded,” adding that “the people of Gaza are not under the rule of Hamas,” reports Al Jazeera.
“We must continue and if we stop now, Hamas will regain control,” he said yesterday.
“Activities in Gaza will continue for a long time. Security in Gaza will remain in our hands,” he added, referring to the war, which is now in its third month. “Security in Gaza will remain in our hands”.
Gantz also said that “the Lebanese government should think about whether they are Iran’s front shield.”
”If Hezbollah continues, we will operate in southern Lebanon as we operate in the northern Gaza Strip. This is not a threat to Lebanon – it is a promise to the people of the north,” he explained, N1 writes.
