The Sarajevo International Airport previously announced that it will soon be open 24 hours a day, which will be a big change compared to the current work schedule when the airport was closed during the night.
The construction of a new terminal, which means more gates, i.e. the ability to serve more lines at the same time, means new opportunities. And the introduction of 24-hour working hours means that it will soon be possible to introduce some night lines, of course for those companies that express a desire for those lines.
And recently it was confirmed from the airport in Sarajevo that two companies expressed their readiness for night lines. One of them is Air Serbia, Zamaaero, a regional specialized portal, announced.
That would be the second Belgrade – Sarajevo flight during the day.
Namely, Air Serbia requested from Sarajevo Airport flights during the night of 15.5. until 30.9.2023. The plane should leave Belgrade at 00:45 and arrive in Sarajevo at 01:35, and depart from Sarajevo at 4:30 and arrive in Belgrade at 5:20.
As a reminder, the flight on the route Sarajevo – Belgrade takes place every day in the afternoon, arriving in Sarajevo at 14:15 and departing at 14:45. For now, it is not known whether the Air Serbia night line would be daily or only on certain days.
AnadoluJet could also introduce a night flight to Sarajevo, Zamaaero announced. It should introduce a third weekly flight to Bodrum, which will last from June 3 to September 2, 2023, arriving in Sarajevo at 3:00 a.m. and departing from Sarajevo at 4:00 a.m.
And the new working hours and the possibility of landing at the Sarajevo airport during the night could also encourage other airlines to introduce additional lines, especially low-cost ones, Klix.ba reports.
