ITA BiH: Still without Changes to the Rulebook on Workplaces at Border Crossings

The Rulebook on Amendments to the Rulebook on Internal Organization in the ITA BiH was not adopted even today at the electronic session of the Board of Directors, because Zijad Krnjić, a member appointed by the FBiH Government, voted against it, which did not resolve the filling of positions at ten border crossings.

Entity Finance Ministers Zora Vidović and Toni Kraljević, Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers Srđan Amidžić, as well as Jelena Popović, a member of the Steering Committee from among experts appointed by the Government of Republika Srpska, voted for changes to this rulebook, it was announced from the Cabinet of the Minister of Finance and Treasury.

According to the explanation of Krnjić, who was the only one against, there was no reason for the urgency of making amendments to the Rulebook, and he also requested that the agenda of the session be supplemented with decisions on the settlement of the distribution of value added tax funds between the entities.

The Management Board previously received a request from the ITA that, based on the international agreement between BiH and Croatia, which has been in force since June, the systematization of workplaces should be changed in order to organize work at border crossings more efficiently.

It should be noted that, according to the Rules of Procedure of the Administrative Board of the ITA, such decisions are made by consensus, which was not present even at today’s electronic session.
