Ambassador Corrias pointed out that Italy, with the initiative of UNESCO and with the strong support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Culture and Tourism, responded immediately with this concrete move, by putting the experience of the Central Institute for Restoration and Conservation of Archives and Library Heritage of Rome at the disposal of UNESCO and the National Archive of B&H.
“I am convinced that thanks to the Italian experts, who arrive today in B&H, it will be possible to provide necessary measures for saving the cultural heritage of B&H”, he said.
This mission in response to the emergency situation will estimate the damage on the B&H Archives due to the fire set to the B&H Presidency during the protests, and will provide guidelines for the protection of the archive damaged during these events.
