enes suljkanovic rsThe Vice-President of the RS Enes Suljkanović spoke yesterday in Doboj with representatives from the Italian Company ‘Amia’, who expressed interest to invest in B&H.

At the meeting, which was attended by the mayor of Doboj Jasminka Begić, representatives of this company from Verona expressed the wish to invest in waste recycling, announced from the cabinet of the entity Vice-President.

They would, alone or with local partners, open companies that would deal with recycling and the sale of waste materials. They showed interest to invest in the construction of regional sanitary landfills in Doboj, whose feasibility study is nearing the end, and construction is expected to start soon.

Vice-President Suljkanović welcomed the desire of potential investors from Italy to invest in B&H, especially in the area of recycling, since this process has not yet taken hold in a way that operates in western countries.

He said that Doboj, together with 13 municipalities from the FBiH and the RS, are nearing the end of the study for the construction of sanitary landfills in Doboj that was financed by the Czech Development Agency with around 2.000.000 KM.

It is planned that this study would be over by the end of October of this year, after which activities around the construction and rehabilitation of existing landfills would begin.

After the formulation of the study, a meeting is planned of representatives of all municipalities and relevant ministries in order to jointly define the directions of movement of the construction of regional sanitary landfills. Cooperation with the company ‘Amia’ as a potential co-financer in this project will be proposed.
