Newly appointed deputy Mayor of the City of Sarajevo Abdullah Skaka together with the Secretary of the City Administration Elvir Hadziahmetovic, visited mother of the firstborn baby minutes after the birth, and gifted her with bouquet of flowers, and the award of 500 BAM.
Alisa Vujinovic, proud mother from Sarajevo said that the delivery went successfully, and she is very happy.
“I gave birth at 12:03 am to a baby boy. We do not have name yet, but we will have it soon. The staff is great, the doctor as well. Thank you for the gift, I thank deputy Mayor, I really did not expect this. I have a six and a half years old little girl, she was looking forward to get brother, that was the main motive for me, that my girl gets brother,” said Vujinovic through tears and laughter.
Right after the first born baby, the second male baby was born at the clinic Jezero shortly after midnight, confirmed Doctor Muhamed Ardat.
“The first baby, a baby boy, was born, everything went very well, and I congratulate the mother and wish them all the best. We even have a second mom who gave birth at 12:23 am to the second baby boy,” said the doctor, wishing a happy New Year of 2016 to all citizens, and wishing them to be successful.
Deputy Mayor Skaka, who was appointed to the new position today, said that the day could not be better.
“It was very beautiful day, I’m proud and happy to be part of a leading team of the City of Sarajevo. On the first day, we got the first baby boy, just a few minutes after the New Year we received the information that we got a boy, we visited the mother, which is the tradition of the City Sarajevo, we visited her and handed her a gift. I wish the citizens of Sarajevo a lot of happiness and joy, a lot more optimism and, of course, to see the future as something positive,” said Skaka.
