The joint exercise of the mountain rescue service between Sarajevo (GSSSS) and Croatia (HGSS) will be held tomorrow on Bjelašnica with an exercise on how to spot avalanches.
The exercises will be attended by the mountain rescue services from Sarajevo and members of the Croatian rescue services from Zadar, Gospić and Orebić.
This joint exercise is the result of many years of regional cooperation, which was formally verified two years ago with the Agreement on Joint Action Mountain Rescue Services from BiH, Croatia, Montenegro and Macedonia.
They will work on probing avalanches, search with avalanche detectors and with dogs.
This is an opportunity for joint physical, mental and technical demonstration of skills for the members, and a demonstration of expertise and training in potentially adverse situations.
