FullSizeRenderThe best B&H athlete on 800 meters, Amel Tuka arrived last night at the main square in Kakanj where more than 15,000 people organized the unforgettable welcome for him.

After the successful results he achieved, Tuka came for a short visit to B&H, and citizens of Sarajevo, Zenica and Kakanj prepared welcome reception for him.

More than 15 thousand people screamed his name on the main square in Kakanj, while the fireworks announced his appearance on the stage while the residents of Kakanj applauded.

“I really have no words to describe my feelings for all of you who took the time and came in such a great number here tonight, and I have to thank the Mayor as well, this good man, Nermin Mandra. Indeed, as much as you were proud of me, I’m proud of you as well. This is the street where I made my first steps in my career and that makes me so proud. There will always be place in my heart for the love for Kakanj, for Zenica and for Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Tuka in his speech for gathered residents of Kakanj.

Tuka got a T-shirt from the group of fans from Kakanj as a gift, as well as the cake, and a large portrait by Edin Šabanović from Kakanj.
