Kamerni Theatre Preparing Three Premieres This Year

Kamerni Theatre will again enrich the cultural and theatre scene in B&H with new projects, as well as shows that are on its permanent repertoire. This was confirmed to Fena by the Director of Kamerni Theatre Dragan Jovičić, noting that this year there is a plan to realize three premieres by the Fall, and a fourth could be done if it is financially possible.

The first premiere will take place on 22 February called ‘Skupština’ (Assembly) by Selma Spahić, and this is a co-production project with the National Theatre Sarajevo.

For the end of March, there will be the premiere of the play ‘Bajka koju idiot priča’ (A tale told by an idiot) by Lana Bastašić, and Emir Kapetanović will direct it.

‘’At the end of April we are planning a play ‘Mali mi je ovaj grob’ (This grave is too small for me) by Biljana Kapetanović and directed by Dino Mustafić. This is a co-production with the BITEF theatre, MESS, Hartefakt from Belgrade and Kamerni Theatre, and the story is dedicated to the centennial anniversary of the Sarajevo assassination’’, said Jovičić.

He also said that this year, Kamerni Theatre will mark one of the most significant performances-in Sweden from 19 April until 8 May. The ensemble of this theatre will be a guest with the play ‘U Zvorniku ja sam ostavio svoje srce’ (I left my heart in Zvornik), which will be performed 11 times in several cities in Sweden, in cooperation with the B&H diaspora.
