A meeting of representatives of the two coalition of three parties (troikas), from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the RS, is being held at the residence of the British Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday evening. They are hosted by Foreign Minister David Lammy and Ambassador Julian Reilly.
The meeting is attended by the leaders of the SDP Nermin Nikšić, NiP Elmedin Konaković, Our Party Edin Forto, SDS Milan Miličević, PDP Draško Stanivuković and the List for Justice and Order Nebojša Vukanović.
The meeting began after 8 p.m., but the politicians are still at the British residence, which is located in the Stari Grad Municipality area of Sarajevo.
The meeting was, as expected, criticized by the SNSD leader Milorad Dodik.
“And in every generation they find a Serb ready to carry a broom and clean up according to their orders. Once it was the Ivanić, today it is Stanivuković, Miličević, Vukanović. They are the new extras of the old farce in which the British, as always, are looking for Serbs for disposable use,” said Dodik. Incidentally, British Foreign Minister David Lammy arrived in BiH on an official visit tonight. He first met with his colleague Konaković, and tomorrow he has scheduled talks at the BiH Presidency.
Following the meeting of the Troika leaders from FBiH and RS with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Edin Forto (Our Party) and Draško Stanivuković (PDP) also spoke out.
Forto revealed the message he conveyed to the British diplomat.
“Tonight, in a conversation with the Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom, David Lammy, I said that by removing the criminal regime in RS, Bosnia and Herzegovina has a chance to calm tensions in the long term and unlock its European path.”
Stanivuković said that at every table where Bosnia and Herzegovina is discussed, the unwavering voice and position of Republika Srpska must be heard.
“Without that voice, there is no agreement, no justice, no future. That is why, together with the SDS and the Justice and Order List, we have clearly sent a message – Republika Srpska is not a problem, it is the key to the solution! We are not asking for much – just respect, equality and dialogue, which we also said in a direct conversation with David Lemmy, the Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom, as well as the Ambassador of Great Britain to BiH, Julian Riley.”
The President of the PDP said that the PDP, SDS and the Justice and Order List advocate a European path, but one that includes unblocking, respect, new investments and equality of all peoples.
“Without the Republika Srpska, there is no Europe in BiH. The Republika Srpska is not only talked about in the Republika Srpska, but precisely in places like this and at this table.”, Klix.ba writes.
